Spring is sprung
After some rather chilly spells this winter it's a relief to all of us, I'm sure, to feel the weather warming up and see the pretty spring flowers starting to make an appearance. Still, the cold has had it's benefits, too. We've had some fun bidding farewell to the icy dregs of Winter with the Mercury's Wine Week from the 24th to 26th of August at Suncoast Casino. The lovely range of wines was the perfect salute to the end of cold weather.
Coming up ...
It seems as though Spring Fever has hit all around the country with some great events lined up for those of us who prefer the warmth. For starters, we've got Green with Envy's Pot-au-Fleur morning on Spring Day, where we can glean creative patio pot gardening tips from the experts, and support a charitable cause at the same time. To Book e-mail Clair at venue@greenwithenvy.co.za or call 072 626 2208.
For readers a little further to the North, don't miss the Muldersdrift Spring Festival, on until the 4th of September. For more information, call 0839976142.
The same week sees artists doing their bit for charity at the 2011 Art Benefit in aid of the Red Cross War Memorial Children's Hospital on 3 Sept at Leeuwenhof. Contact Amanda Bloch www.childrenshospitaltrust.org.za .
Because it's such a busy month, we've decided to include a calendar in this month's newsletter to help you plan your social engagements. I've diarised a few of these not-to-be-missed events myself, and I can't wait to see you there. And as always, our newsletter is packed with great ideas for including a little style and joie-de-vivre in your home, garden and lifestyle.
So why not grab a blanket and some wine, pack a basket full of yummy goodies, and head out for a picnic - after you've read our latest letter, of course.
Yours in Style,
