The event showcases eight to ten houses / apartments that have been transformed by select Interior Designers and Landscapers from around the country.
In its eighth year, Designers on Display attracts approximately 7,000 exclusive attendees to each show, the majority of which fall within LSM 9-10.
Visitors to the show enjoy an elegant day out viewing the property, gardens and interiors at their leisure, enjoying gourmet catering within superb surroundings and shopping to their hearts content.

Nambiti Hills
The area around The Five Star Nambiti Hills Private Game Lodge is steeped in the most remarkable history! It is the centre of the historic Anglo-Boer War, during which there was bloody conflict between the Boer and Brit.
During the Historic Battlefields Adventure Weekend which is to be held at Nambiti Hills Private Game Lodge, Ken Gillings - retired businessman, soldier, renowned historian and acclaimed battlefield guide, will conduct a guided tour of the battlefields bringing in the concept of how battlefield blunders can benefit business. Ken has been conducting battlefields tours for over 40 years and has written extensively on South African military history.
The price will be R2650 per person per night sharing and will include all meals, drinks(excluding premium wines, champagnes and all spirits), snacks, accommodation as well as inspirational guided tours and workshops with Ken Gillings. This experience is set to commence on Friday the 19th of November and will end on Sunday the 21st of November 2010.

Luci's Unique Antiques
I bought my first antique on an auction when I was in Grade 10 - that is about 38 years ago! It was a doll's pram of leather with the original sprung wheels. That pram still decorates my home today. After having thought for 29 years, I decided that NOW is the right time to change my career and "Luci's Unique Antiques" made its appearance ! I have a showroom at my house and I specialize in Victorian as well as Edwardian furniture. One of my passions is also giving modern antiques, such as Ball-and-claw furniture, a new look using vibrant paints and upholstery

Fat Tuesday
Fat Tuesday is hosting an exhibition of Mosaics in the house this month entitled “Gone to Pieces” by local talent Colyn Moonsami
The exhibition opens on Friday the 22nd of October
Colyn Moonsami started mosaics almost by accident while accompanying friends on an arty weekend in the Zululand bush. His first panel was a bit of a disaster but the experience unearthed a dormant talent and detonated a passionate desire to create that has driven him ever since.
Finding that the materials available were limiting his creativity he has started making his own ceramic tiles, medallions and motifs to incorporate into his work. His use of beautiful glazes and oxides has brought a rare quality and originality to his work. The quixotic results are on display in this exhibition.
He has a studio in Kloof where he works and teaches.
